The Venue
Situated between Haworth Parish Church and the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the Old School Room is one of the most historically significant buildings in Yorkshire. Built in 1832 by Reverend Patrick Brontë, it served as a school where Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Branwell all taught. And in 1854, it became the setting for Charlotte's own wedding reception, held after her marriage at the church just steps away.
The building has been lovingly maintained and recently had its original 1832 roof sensitively restored, preserving the character and charm that makes it so special. Inside, the main hall features high beamed ceilings and large windows that flood the space with natural light, creating a beautiful backdrop for your day. It comfortably seats 60 guests for your wedding breakfast, with room for up to 120 for the evening celebrations, and is supported by a fully equipped kitchen.
